The influence of one of art history's greatest movements is very much alive as is evidenced by the paintings and photographs that comprise "Contemporary Impressionism". What is revealed and what is hidden and how? When do events actually occur- or don't we know until they have already passed? Featuring the work of Cecily Brown, Uta Barth, Fritz Chesnut, Christina Hejtmanick, Katherine Wright, Rob Reynolds, Elyn Zimmerman and Alexandra Wiesenfeld, we are treated to an exploration of how light, color, form and time- the essential concerns of Impressionism- are still vital issues for today's artists.
